I worked with some great people - intelligent, hardworking and helpful and I can honestly say I only really had issues with a few sales team members - everyone else is truly great at their job. Don't expect to learn any new tech - outside of the in house software it's just SQL and Excel all the way. A lot of the team are old timers who know their systems inside and out which is great for them but difficult to train others - no blame assigned, just frustrating. it was not unusual for sales and SMEs to not really understand the product they are selling leading to unrealistic expectations from clients which then have to be managed, also the siloed nature of the teams leads to a slower response in terms of supporting clients with issues.Ī lot of software is bespoke and therefore training is mostly shadowing and presentations by other team members who are not trainers so it's hard to follow and get the support or clarity sometimes needed. I think this boils down mostly to a lack of cross pollination and interaction between teams - work is very siloed between IT, data, sales and account management, operations, finance and customer support. I never really understood whether that was a lack of clear communication or something else like a reluctance to risk change. I see clear (perhaps a little simplistic) goals at a director level but a lot of words and little concrete action once it trickles down - like the direction was noted and then people just went back to doing what they always had. Senior and middle management leadership seems inconsistent in the Healthcare division. Despite three job title and responsibility advancements, any salary increases remained below industry standard for my region - not massively, but enough to irk - repeated told by management that they were working on aligning salaries but it never happened in the five years I was with them. Overall this is a good company to work for and I WOULD recommend them with a few caveats.Įxpect nothing more than an inflation level pay rise alongside higher family medical premiums for what amounted to a de-facto pay cut every year. Great benefits, good people, stale salaries and hit and miss organization and strategy.
